Copywriter-editors for Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional Characters)
Our company is now seeking multilingual professionals with proven skills in copywriting and editing. Candidates must be native speakers of Japanese, Korean, or Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, or Taiwanese) who are fluent in both written and spoken English. Job location:
•San Francisco Bay Area
Work content:
•Write headlines and volume copy for multiple spheres, including web, DM, video, motion graphics, and other sales channels
•Adapt English-language copy originally written for a US audience to ensure cultural and product relevance in the target market
•Ensure that all marketing copy has the right tone of voice, nuance, and style, and is consistent across all media
Talent profile:
•Skilled at writing headlines and copy that are thoughtful, sometimes humorous, and always succinct, able to solve problems with headlines
•Native speaker of Japanese, Korean, or Chinese
•Fluent in written and spoken English, able to provide reverse translations from the target language and to discuss work with English-speaking colleagues
•Has experience producing TV commercials or videos
•Has some experience with large, renowned brands
•Able to work quickly and efficiently within short time frames and under pressure
•Able to use computer-aided translation technologies such as WorldServer
Other information:
•Example ideal candidates would include accomplished senior copywriters, as well as translators or creative professionals with advertising experience.
•Project pay rates are dependent on experience.
•The selection process may include interviews and/or the completion of trial work.
•Applicants must currently possess a visa that allows them to work legally in the United States.
•Successful candidates will be employed as contractors by TOIN, but will perform job duties for a TOIN client company.
